At 12:51, a 9-1-1 call was
received reporting his wife had been shot. He was not on scene with the victim.
The victim was located in the 1900 block
of East Alameda and was transported by EMSStat to Norman Regional
Hospital, Porter campus,
with non-life threatening injuries.
The Norman Police Department
contacted the school administration and Kennedy Elementary and Irving Middle
schools were both placed on lock-down for the
safety of the staff and students.
After a lengthy foot pursuit,
the suspect was taken in to custody without incident. The Criminal
Investigations Division is handling the investigation.
