Hit and Run collision

Norman police are investigating a traffic collision that occurred this morning about
5:44 A.M. near the intersection of 12th Avenue NE and Tecumseh Road. Investigators believe that a 2002 Pontiac
Trans Am, driven by Kenneth Randall Williams, age 68 of Norman, had stopped for a red signal while
traveling north on 12th Avenue NE. A 2005 dark blue Ford F-150, also traveling north, collided with
Williams’ vehicle, and the driver, described as “a younger white male” fled the
scene on foot.

EMSSTAT initially transported Williams to Norman Regional Hospital
on Porter Street, but he was subsequently transferred to the O.U. Medical
Center, where he is in critical condition.
