Purposes of Awards Review Committee
- The purpose of the Norman Police Awards Program is to evaluate cases involving meritorious service and to make recommendations to the Chief of Police for appropriate recognition for outstanding performance.
- In some cases the committee may recommend awards be conferred to citizens or members of other law enforcement agencies.
- Awards may be conferred as a result of documentation initiated from entities or individuals outside the Department.
