ODOT I-35 PROJECT INFORMATION

September 17, 2009 Update - Environmental assessment for proposed improvements along I-35 South, from the north end of the I-35/SH 9W interchange ramps (located south of the Canadian River Bridge), north to approximately ½ mile north of Main Street in Norman. The proposed improvements include expanding I-35 to a 6-lane facility from the Canadian River Bridge to approximately ½ mile north of Main Street in Norman, as well as reconstruction of the interchanges at SH 9E, Lindsey Street, and Main Street.

On Thursday, February 26, 2009, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation conducted a public meeting regarding the proposed Interstate 35 South Improvement Project in Norman. The purpose of this meeting was to review information regarding an environmental assessment for the proposed improvements along I-35, from the north end of the I-35/SH 9W interchange to approximately ½ mile north of Main Street in Norman. The proposed improvements include expanding I-35 to a 6-lane facility and replacement of three existing interchanges at Main Street, Lindsey Street and SH 9E.
