Greenbelt Commission
Update as of August, 2010
A subcommittee of the Greenbelt Commission has worked with staff over the past couple of years to develop a proposed amended Greenbelt Commission ordinance. A preliminary draft of the document was presented to the public at the January 25th Greenbelt Commission meeting. Comments from that meeting and the Norman Developers Council were considered and resulted in an amended draft ordinance which was then presented to the City Council Planning and Community Development Committee (CCPCDC) on April 9th along with a draft of the proposed Greenbelt Enhancement Statement.
The CCPCDC has worked with staff over the past few months to refine the proposed ordinance. The current draft will be reviewed by the City Council at their August 17th Study Session (A copy can be view at the link below). Any modifications coming from that review will be incorporated into the ordinance which will then be placed on the City Council docket for first reading on September 14th and second reading on September 28th.
