10TH  ANNUAL CITY WIDE GARAGE SALE


The City of Norman will hold the 10th annual City Wide Garage Sale on August 1st , 2nd and 3rd.  No City Garage Sale Permit is required for the sales during this timeframe.  On July 21st, the City will begin collecting addresses and dates from citizens who plan to participate in this sale. 

 

Storm Water Master Plan

A Storm Water Utility is being considered to provide funding for important capital improvements, water quality enhancements, compliance with state and federal storm water mandates, enhanced maintenance of existing storm water systems, improved street sweeping and other best management practices to better Norman’s storm water and drainage.  On June 19, 2014, the City of Norman held a Public

2060 Strategic Water Supply Plan

The City of Norman is updating its plans for supplying long term water solutions to its customers. The SWSP builds on previous planning efforts discussing water demands, supply options, and infrastructure as well as significant new developments in water supply regulations, new technology and availability of water.

I-35 and Main Street Interchange Project

On April 16,
2014 at 12:00 a.m. (midnight), the contractor opened to traffic the Main Street and Interstate 35 Interchange.   The on-ramps and off-ramps between I-35 and Main Street were opened to traffic as well as all of the traffic lanes on Main Street.  In addition, all new and existing lanes of traffic on I-35 were opened to traffic.  On Thursday, April 17, the contractor completed the final paving improvements on Main Street between Ed Noble Parkway west to 34th Avenue SW.

2013 Annual Report

The City of Norman is pleased to announce the release of its 2013 Annual Report.  We have highlighted some significant achievements, to include weather-related events; public safety and justice; parks, recreation and library services; community and economic developments; transportation improvements; environmental and utility services; strategic support; revenue/expenditure information; and, recognitions and awards achieved by our City and our employees.

Norman Water Quality Concerns
